This will be a short post but I wanted to wish everyone who follows my blog and anyone who may have stumbled upon it a Happy Resurrection Sunday.

“For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

God so loved His children that He gave up His only Son to be crucified for our sins. He paid the ultimate price for our salvation. He was crucified, died and buried. At the moment of His death, our sins were forgiven now and forever. The curtain in the temple was rent in two, signifying that we could speak directly with God. The old ways of sacrifice were over. His resurrection ushered in the new way and the new life under Jesus, that whoever believes in Him should have eternal life.

So, on this Sunday, remember that it’s not about the rabbit or the eggs (these are, after all, pagan rituals). It’s about our Lord and Savior dying on the cross for a people who really didn’t deserve it. But He did it anyway. That’s how much He loves us. That’s how much we matter to Him.

If you want to experience that same love, give your life to Jesus. It’s not the smoothest of roads but it’s one worth taking.
