By now, you’ve heard the controversy that Anhauser Busch has created by hiring Dylan Mulvaney as their new spokesperson.
As of this writing, the Bud Light brand (and Anheuser-Busch as a whole) have lost over $5 billion since hiring Mulvaney. And I could see the effects with my own eyes.
I was in Florida last week visiting family and we needed to go to Publix to pick up a few things. I was walking past an aisle and on the end cap, there was a display of Bud Light. A FULL display of Bud Light. It seems that the residents of that part of Florida have spoken.
The marketing team for Bud Light has stated that the purpose of hiring Mulvaney was to try and target a younger demographic. With respect, I’m not quite sure how a man pretending to be a woman will bring in a younger demographic. I just don’t see it. The demographic that AB is targeting isn’t drinking beer. They’re drinking White Claws and soy lattes.
And this is assuming you can call Bud Light beer.
I did try Bud once many years ago and was not a fan. I can’t imagine Bud Light being any better. I didn’t try it to find out.
AB has joined an ever-growing list of businesses that are submitting to the woke mob.
But I believe this lends itself to an ever-growing sentiment in this country. Scripture speaks of this in Isaiah 5:20:
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”
These words are just as relevant today as they were during Isaiah’s day. Now there is a large majority of this country that will not tolerate the actions of AB. But their voices are silenced by those who dare call them racists, bigots, or transphobes for having a different opinion.
The devil is going to throw everything he can at us but we know who wins in the end. And in Him is the victory we stand on.
God Bless!
