“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV)
The above video is from Pastor Mike Tyler from Michigan (please keep in mind that the title is misleading and should, in no way, be off-putting). It’s amazing how God works. This video came to my attention when my wife sent the link to me. I had just posted a blog about how both the body of believers and the churches themselves are straying from the core teachings and opting more for a ‘seeker friendly’ type of church experience.
We are living in an age where good is evil and evil is good. Where it is okay for men to use the lady’s room; where we no longer have two genders but ninety-six (or more); where sex and violence are more and more prevalent in our television shows and movies; where Planned Parenthood’s number one goal is to perform as many abortions as possible.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
We are living in an age where transhumanism is going to be all the rage. People who want to become immortal will be clamoring for the technology that will get them there. They’ll upload their consciousness into synthetic bodies as a way to gain immortality. But is it the same immortality that will be given to us by Jesus?
No, not by a long shot. Eventually, a synthetic body will wear out. Parts will need to be replaced. What happens when the batteries die? Does the whole thing stop working? Where does the person’s consciousness go when that happens? Is it backed up to a ‘hard drive’ of some kind? It’s all pretty spooky and weird and evil at the same time.
In all of this, they forget the one thing that will get them where they want to be: Jesus Christ.
Their faith in Him will give them the immortality that they desire. As Pastor Russ Dizdar says: “an indestructible irreversible immortality.” The only ‘price’ they may pay is the repentance of their sins and their continued effort to follow in the ways and teachings of Jesus.
That’s too much for them. They want the carnality of life. They don’t want to be accountable for anything they’ve done in their lives and they don’t want to stop doing those things now.
It’s sad to see how far we have fallen but for those of us in Christ, we know that one day soon, the Messiah will come back for those who believe. It’s not too late to make a change in your life for the better. Repent of your sins and come to Jesus and ask for His forgiveness and to follow in His ways. It’s a change in your life you won’t regret.
God Bless!
